MLA Format Works Cited 하는 방법 

 

영어 에세이를 다 작성 하셨을 겁니다. 그러면 이제 마지막 관문이 남아있습니다. 바로 출처를 표기하는 것이지요. 출처는 그 에세이의 주장을 뒷받침하는 중요한 근거이기 때문에 출처에 대해서 정확하게 그 MLA룰에 따라서 포맷팅 을 하는 것은 내용이 좋은 에세이 만큼이나 중요한 사안 입니다. 옥스포드라이팅 에서는 이번 편에서 MLA Format Works Cited 하는 방법에 대해서 다뤄보도록 하겠습니다. 

 

Works Cited 작성의 순서는 다음과 같습니다. 내용이 조금 길 수도 있기 때문에 2편에 걸쳐서 다루어 볼 예정이며 이번 1편에서는 1) – 4)까지 다뤄보도록 하겠습니다.

 

1) Author.

2) Title of source.

3) Title of container,

4) Other contributors

 

5) Version

6) Number

7) Publisher

8) Publication date

9) Location.

MLA Format Works Cited방법 

 

1) 작가(Author) : 작가의성을먼저적고쉼표를찍은후에이름을적습니다.

2) 소스제목(Title of Source) ; 소스의종류에 따라서 따옴표“ “안에 넣거나 이탈릭으로 표시를하는데 책의경우는 이탈릭으로 표시합니다.

> 웹페이지의 경우에는 일반글자체에 따옴표를 넣습니다. 그리고 인터넷 주소를 꼭 뒤에 적어줍니다.

> 정기기간물과 매거진,뉴스의 경우(Periodical, Journal, Magazine, newspaper) 또한 따옴표 안에 넣도록합니다.

3) 소스의컨테이너( Title of Container) : 소스의 큰분류 컨테이너를 적을때에는 이탈릭체로 적어주도록합니다. 예를 들어서 “Girl”이라는 작품을 이하의 책에서 발췌하여 인용할때,그 컨테이너는 이탈릭체로 적어주도록합니다.

> 넷플릭스나티비쇼같은것을인용할때에도마찬가지입니다. 94 미팅의에피소드를인용하고그뒤에 Parks and recreations이라는컨테이너는이탈릭으로작성합니다.

> 만약에인터넷사이트의게시된글을포스팅할때도그위에대분류같은컨테이너가있다면이탈릭으로표시합니다.

4) Other contributors : 작가이외에도 크레딧(credit)을 줘야할 대상이 있습니다.예를 들어서 편집자(editors), Illustrators, Translators 같은경우인데요. 그런경우에는 그에맞게 크레딧을주도록합니다.
